Stonecold

If stone wasn’t so damn cold I would have slept on the counters last night!  Recall what I have been working with for 2 weeks – I did have a sink and a stove, they were just pulled out for the install.

After pricing out both the box stores and Pius Kitchen & Bath, we decided to go with Pius.   They were much cheaper and had a good selection.  We were on the fence between an all white Quartz and the Granite.  In the end we went with a greyish Granite for fear that white on cream cabinets would have been too much white.  Even though I drooled over white on white kitchens on Pinterest for months.  Maybe one day…

Here are the guys from Pius installing on site.

I am obsessed with the way they turned out!  I still expect to walk around the corner into my kitchen and see THIS

Another exciting update this weekend and just in time for Thanksgiving dishes, a DISHWASHER!  (Thank you Neumans!) and also a hood for over the stove.  Pointer – if you ever want to install an over the range microwave, you need a 20 amp plug.  We didn’t know that, or do that while rewiring the house, so the microwave got nixed (we do have one in the laundry room that we never use).  It was a good mistake though, because I think the vent looks much better and doesn’t hang down as far as the microwave would have.

We’re getting things checked off our list, we should be ready just in time to host Thanksgiving!  Even though we’ll have no money to buy a turkey… 🙂 Kidding MOM!

  • Open shelving for the space to the right of the window
  • Crown molding at the top of the cabinets
  • Dishwasher
  • Microwave above the stove and install the cabinet above that
  • Counter tops
  • Backsplash

About The Neuzel Project

Neuzel is the combination of Neuman and Benzel. Now that Casey and I have been married for 3 years, we could probably be the Neuman Project, but I still love the time we were the Neuzels so it will remain.
